While running late for Monday afternoon’s state House floor session, rather than park in the parking garage beneath Legislative Plaza a tenth of a mile away, Rep. Stacey Campfield left his car on the sidewalk of Charlotte Avenue directly in front of the State Capitol.
An abandoned car in front of a government building could never be cause for alarm! He was just running late! He wanted to vote, y’all.
For those who live outside the Nashville bubble, a visual guide to just how lazy this was:

Now that the filing deadline has passed, I suppose we’ll have to keep our eyes peeled for any anti-sidewalk caption bills.
